Ideal-triangularizability of Upward Directed Sets of Positive Operators
In this paper we consider the question when an upward directed set of positive ideal-triangularizable operators on a Banach lattice is (simultaneously) ideal-triangularizable. We prove that a majorized upward directed set of ideal-triangularizable positive operators, which are compact or abstract integral operators is ideal-triangularizable. We also prove that a finite subset of an additive sem...
متن کاملTriangularizability of Polynomially Compact Operators
An operator on a complex Banach space is polynomially compact if a non-zero polynomial of the operator is compact, and power compact if a power of the operator is compact. Theorems on triangularizability of algebras (resp. semigroups) of compact operators are shown to be valid also for algebras (resp. semigroups) of polynomially (resp. power) compact operators, provided that pairs of operators ...
متن کاملC-algebras Generated by Groups of Composition Operators
We compute the C*-algebra generated by a group of composition operators acting on certain reproducing kernel Hilbert spaces over the disk, where the symbols belong to a non-elementary Fuchsian group. We show that such a C*-algebra contains the compact operperators, and its quotient is isomorphic to the crossed product C*-algebra determined by the action of the group on the boundary circle. In a...
متن کاملGeneralized vertex algebras generated by parafermion-like vertex operators
It is proved that for a vector space W , any set of parafermion-like vertex operators on W in a certain canonical way generates a generalized vertex algebra in the sense of [DL2] with W as a natural module. This result generalizes a result of [Li2]. As an application, generalized vertex algebras are constructed from Lepowsky-Wilson’s Z-algebras of any nonzero level.
متن کاملTriangularizability of Operators with Increasing Spectrum
We establish finiteand infinite-dimensional versions of the following assertion. If M is a matrix with the property that whenever P and Q are diagonal projections with P ≤ Q, the spectrum of PMP (considered as an operator on the range of P ) is contained in that of QMQ (considered as an operator on the range of Q), then there is a permutation matrix U such that U−1MU is triangular.
